The Ray Maitland Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Ray, former president of USLacrosse-Texas chapter and expansionist of the Texas lacrosse community.

The scholarships consist of four cash awards (to be awarded at the district finals) $500, $400, two $300 and one complete set of lacrosse equipment.

To be eligible each applicant must be a registered high school senior and an active member of a high school lacrosse team with full intentions upon continuing their lacrosse experience at the collegiate level.

The scholarship committee determines the scholarship winners by weighing the essays and accompanying letters of recommendation to determine exactly which student-athletes embody the ideals of the scholarship and will best represent and pay tribute to Ray’s memory.
