Round Rock Dragon Lacrosse Seeks Multiple Coaches

Round Rock is entering its 4th year and seeks to add several additional coaches to its staff. Varsity finished 2013 with a 16-2 record and JV 14-3. The program will be pursuing three (3) teams in 2014, including 2 JV’s. The program seeks an additional Assistant Varsity Coach, a Head JV Coach for the more competitive JV team, and several assistant JV Coaches.

Minimum qualifications include:
• Lacrosse playing experience
• Passion for the sport of lacrosse
• Ability to effectively motivate and develop high school players of  
  varying levels of experience.
• Willing to continue to learn and grow as a coach
• Prior coaching experience of at least one full season is required for
  the Head JV Coach position. For all other coaching positions, coaching
  experience is not required, but would be a plus.
 
Candidates must be living in the Round Rock/greater Austin area or be committed to doing so prior to contacting us about this position. This is a coaching-only position.

Candidates must be available on weekends and from 4:30 weekdays as the practice and game schedules demand. A background check through the school district is required.
Salary: Competitive stipend, commensurate with experience.

LBJ/LASA High School Head Lacrosse Coach (Austin)


Austin's LBJ High School, also the home of Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA), is seeking a head coach to work with its growing boys' varsity lacrosse program. This is a part-time, non-teaching role. You will serve as a role model while motivating and developing players, and effectively communicate with players, parents and assistant coaches. Ideal candidates will have experience coaching at the high school level and playing at the college level; however, other combinations of experience will be considered. Strong leadership and organizational skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the sport. Background check as required by the Austin Independent School District. Alamo Heights High School (San Antonio, TX)
Boys' Head & Asst. Coach (Varsity/JV). Available: Immediately. Deadline: August 2013. The Alamo Heights Mules Lacrosse Club competes in the Central District Division 1 level of the Texas High School Lacrosse League. We are seeking a candidate to assist with coaching at both the varsity and junior varsity levels. It is expected the candidate would act as an assistant coach for the 2014 season and then take over as varsity head coach thereafter. Entering its 9th year, the Alamo Heights program has over 60 high school players, 40 middle school players, and 90 youth players annually and is poised to continue to grow even more.

Candidates should be both excellent communicators and good listeners, have played college level lacrosse (NCAA or MCLA), and desire to teach our players better skills, tactics, and how to be better team players. Candidates will eventually be expected to handle all team management and administration. Salary: Stipend commensurate with experience. Appointment: Part-Time

Head Lacrosse Coach

St. Mark’s School of Texas, a day school for 852 boys in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. The St. Mark’s program participates in the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC), as well as the Texas High School Lacrosse League (http://www.thsll.org/rules.php).
The successful candidate will report to the Athletic Director in managing the entire lacrosse program, which currently includes a Varsity, Junior Varsity, and two Middle School teams. 
The Head Coach will assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, hiring and evaluating coaches, duty assignments, and other responsibilities related to program supervision.
While all candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, a strong candidate will have a minimum of two years coaching experience and some experience with boys and high-school aged lacrosse players. Finally, the successful candidate must be able to uphold the school’s mission statement and manage the program within all guidelines set forth by the School, the SPC, and the THSLL. Experience in an independent school is a plus but not a prerequisite.
