Position:  Head JV Coach
Description:  East Lacrosse Association is looking to hire a Head JV Coach beginning in the fall of 2016.  The qualified candidate will have demonstrated the leadership skills and lacrosse knowledge in previous positions to serve as a positive role model while helping to continue the development of our program.  Responsibilities include:
  • Be a positive but firm role model to the players in an effort to teach them important skills and lessons needed for adult life.
  • Attending all practices and games.
  • Lead every aspect of the JV team on game days.
  • Coaching with the same philosophy, terms, tactics, and manner that the Varsity team employs to help develop and prepare younger players for the rigors of the Varsity level.
  • Aid the Varsity head coach in program development and implementation including but not limited to helping fundraise, help with equipment when needed, assist in recruiting when needed, and help in game plan development when needed.
We are looking to hire a full JV staff (Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator), so candidates who have contacts that would be interested in those positions will be strongly considered.
Requirements for Employment: At least two years of coaching experience at the high school level, be able to pass a criminal background check, and provide two letters of reference.
Salary: Commensurate with experience but negotiable.  This is a coaching-only position, but assistance in job placement, including within PISD, can be provided if necessary.

Position:  JV Offensive Coordinator
Description:  East Lacrosse Association is looking to hire an Offensive Coordinator for the JV team beginning in the fall of 2016.  The qualified candidate will have demonstrated the leadership skills and lacrosse knowledge in previous positions to serve as a positive role model while helping to continue the development of our program.  They will be expected to be knowledgeable on all aspects of playing offense in lacrosse.  Responsibilities include:
  • Be a positive but firm role model to the players in an effort to teach them important skills and lessons needed for adult life.
  • Attend all practices and games.
  • Assist the Head JV and Head Varsity coaches with game plan preparation and practice plan development.
  • Provide offensive instruction during practices to help teach our offensive players the subtleties and nuances of playing offense in lacrosse.
  • Assist the Head JV Coach on game day with coordination of the JV Offense.
  • Aid the Varsity head coach in program development and implementation including but not limited to helping fundraise, help with equipment when needed, assist in recruiting when needed, and help in game plan development when needed.
