Varsity High School Head Coach, Boys’ Lacrosse DII
 
The mission of Keller Lacrosse Association (KLA), a 501(c)3 non-profit entity, is to provide lacrosse programs and opportunities to students grades 1 through 12 in the Keller, TX area and the surrounding schools in the Keller Independent School District.  KLA has a focus on serving the community while growing the game.  We are looking for an individual with the vision, leadership, and organizational skills to successfully implement our mission and encourage a positive culture through all KLA teams.
 
There is an immediate opening for Varsity High School Head Coach, Boys’ Lacrosse. DII
 Position Responsibilities:
  • Head Coach for the Keller HS Lacrosse DII team
  • Represent KLA at all League Meetings
  • Develop and manage team schedule
  • Attend all practices (5x/week) in spring program
  • Attend and manage all games (14x/season) including facilities and team needs
  • Communicate and enforce Player Code of Conduct
  • Work with Team Manager and the other KLA HS Coaching staff
  • Assist in off-season program for entire organization (10 weeks)
  • Work collaboratively to further develop and grow the entire KLA program
  • Work collaboratively to prepare and implement training program and practice plans for all KLA teams
  • Recruit Assistant Coaches;
  • Participate in KLA Board of Directors meetings as a non-voting member when needed
  • Assist with scholarship opportunities for exceptional college-bound players (experienced coach plays a role with knowing college programs)
  • Be familiar with and comply with all rules and regulations of the League
  • Work collaboratively to train and develop coaches for the Youth and Bantam programs
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience playing and coaching lacrosse (5+ years coaching preferred)
  • Skilled in positive training and instructing Lacrosse
  • Strong commitment to Student Athletes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with KLA community and KISD staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass background check
  • CEP Certification preferred
  • CPR Certification preferred
Salary: 
Commensurate with experience, but negotiable.Performance based bonus available if certain criteria are met.
