The Anderson Lacrosse program has been awarded the Donald Carnes Award by the Central Texas Lacrosse Officials Association (CTLOA).

This award is presented annually to one men’s high school lacrosse program in recognition of their sportsmanship, quality of play, and respect for the game’s character. The recipient is determined by a vote of the entire CTLOA membership.

As the winner of the Donald Carnes Award, Anderson will now serve as the Central Region's nominee for the Bob Patterson Award, which recognizes sportsmanship at the statewide level.

The CTLOA created this honor for Donald Carnes, a retired member who served as an active referee in Texas for 35 years and as the state's Chief Referee. A co-founder of the University of Texas lacrosse club and the first youth team in Central Texas, Don is a lifelong supporter of the sport who has always exhibited the highest levels of professionalism and honor.
