What happens if there is inclement weather?
- SBISD Athletics has an Inclement Weather Protocol and will review evacuation procedures and locations with all designated school representatives prior to the start of each contest.
- If there is a need all athletes and coaches will be pulled into the field house locker rooms. All spectators will be asked to leave the stadium and return to their car until the all clear is given.
- Thor Guard lightning prediction and warning system continuously monitors the atmosphere’s electrostatic energy and evaluates the potential for lightning. When the system reaches a preset level of red alert, the horn system automatically activates one-15 second blast of the horn and everyone must evacuate. The weather must remain clear for 30 minutes, if another strike is detected the timer will reset. The horn system automatically activates three 5-second blasts of the horn as conditions improve. This is referred to as an “all clear” signal.
What do I do about personal emergencies?
Please reach out to any Memorial Lacrosse volunteer or the field athletic trainer on duty.
