Varsity Assistant Coach

The Varsity Assistant Coach plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the Varsity lacrosse team. This individual is responsible for assisting with team coaching, at the Varsity level, and the development and growth of the lacrosse IQ of Varsity lacrosse athletes. The position prefaces a servant-leadership style with a deep understanding of lacrosse, and a significant passion for mentoring.

Coaching and Leadership:

  • Assist in continuing positive relationships with THSLL and our district that promote overall program, advocate for player awards and grow lacrosse in North Texas.
  • Implement effective coaching strategies, drills, and practices.
  • Focus on player development, providing individual and team instruction to enhance player skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture based on our core values.
  • Assisting JV in games, practices, scrimmages and tournaments as schedule allows.
  • Mentor and support student-athletes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
  • Commitment to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in coaching lacrosse at the youth and high school levels.
  • Previous experience leading a lacrosse team is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using technology for coaching and administrative tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of lacrosse techniques, rules and strategies.

Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; analytical, a problem solver, willing to learn and be adaptable; self-starter and can work independently or as a member of a team; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Junior Varsity Head Coach

The Junior Varsity Head Coach plays a critical role in supporting the overall success of the JV lacrosse team. This individual is responsible for assisting with team coaching, at the JV level, and the development and growth of the lacrosse IQ of JV lacrosse athletes. The position prefaces a servant-leadership style with a deep understanding of lacrosse, and a significant passion for mentoring.

Coaching and Leadership:

  • Build productive relationships with THSLL and our district to effectively promote the overall program, advocate for player awards and grow lacrosse in North Texas.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, Athletic Department and the Booster Club.
  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies, drills, and practices.
  • Focus on player development, providing individual and team instruction to enhance player skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture based on our core values.
  • Lead the Junior Varsity team in all games, practices, scrimmages and tournaments.
  • Mentor and support student-athletes.
  • Plan and organize the team's schedule, including practices, games and travel.
