Head Coach
Position Summary
The High School Head Coach will lead our top-level high school club team, providing expert instruction, mentorship, and leadership throughout practices, games, tournaments, and off-field activities. The ideal candidate is a committed coach who is passionate about both player development and helping support the program’s growth through community-building and fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Program Leadership
- Plan and execute high-quality practices focused on skill development, team systems, and lacrosse IQ.
- Coach the team during tournaments, showcases, and team events.
- Collaborate with the program director to evaluate athletes, set rosters, and create development plans.
- Provide guidance on the college recruiting process as appropriate.
- Communicate clearly with players and families regarding schedules, expectations, and performance.
- Model sportsmanship, integrity, professionalism, and a growth mindset.
Program Development & Fundraising
- Support and participate in club fundraising activities, events, and campaigns.
- Engage with families, alumni, and community partners to help promote and grow the program’s fundraising efforts.
- Assist with building a strong club culture that encourages volunteer participation and community support.
- Collaborate with leadership on fundraising ideas, outreach, and opportunities that benefit the program.
Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or college level required.
- Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategy, and athlete development.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and build relationships with high school athletes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to participate in and support program fundraising initiatives.
- Must pass background check and meet all organizational safety requirements.
- Collegiate playing experience preferred but not required.
- Availability for weekend tournaments and seasonal travel.
Compensation
Competitive stipend based on experience and seasonal schedule. Additional income opportunities through clinics, training, and fundraising events may be available.

Assistant Coach
Position Summary
The Assistant Coach will support both youth and high school teams within the club, helping deliver skill development, team concepts, and a positive overall experience. This role is ideal for a coach who is enthusiastic about mentoring athletes of different age groups, contributing to program culture, and supporting club-wide initiatives including events and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Athlete Development
- Assist in planning and running practices for youth and high school teams.
- Support head coaches during games, tournaments, and team events.
- Teach fundamentals, positional skills, and lacrosse IQ appropriate to each age group.
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and player-centered learning environment.
- Help manage player rotations, warm-ups, and sideline organization during events.
- Provide positive feedback and mentorship to athletes at all developmental levels.
Program & Community Support
- Participate in club-wide training sessions, clinics, tryouts, and development programs.
- Support team culture by promoting sportsmanship, accountability, and club values.
- Assist in club fundraising efforts, community events, and parent engagement activities.
- Collaborate with coaches and staff to ensure smooth communication and consistent messaging.
Qualifications
- Coaching experience at the youth, high school, or club level (or strong playing experience with interest in coaching).
- Solid understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, rules, and player development principles.
- Ability to work effectively with children and teens of varying skill levels.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Willingness to support club fundraising and community initiatives.
- Must pass background check and meet all organizational safety requirements.
- Weekend availability for tournaments is required.
Compensation
Stipend based on experience, age group assignments, and seasonal workload. Additional opportunities may be available for clinics, camps, and special events.
