Job Listing: Head Coach Aledo Lacrosse Club 5th/6th Grade Boys Team Position:

  • Head Coach (5/6 Boys) Organization: Aledo Lacrosse Club Location: Aledo, Texas (practices at McAnally Middle School)
  • Season: Spring 2026 (February mid-May)
  • Commitment: 2-3 practices per week + 1 weekend games (Saturday or Sunday)
  • Compensation: Very competitive stipend (commensurate with experience and certifications)
  • Start Date: Practices begin January 5, 2026

About Aledo Lacrosse Club Aledo Lacrosse Club is one of the fastest-growing youth programs in the DFW area. In our very first year we successfully fielded a team at every single age group, something that almost never happens in lacrosse. An exceptionally high percentage of players are returning this season, joined by even more new athletes, making us one of the most exciting emerging programs in North Texas. We emphasize skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the game in a positive, competitive environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead 2 to 3 weekly practices (typically 6:00-7:30 pm) at McAnally Middle School in Aledo Coach all weekend games (Saturday or Sunday) in the Dallas-Fort Worth Lacrosse League (DFWL) Develop players fundamental skills (cradling, passing, shooting, ground balls, defense, and game IQ)
  • Teach and enforce USA Lacrosse age-appropriate rules (2026 season = 12U rules: no checking, modified field size)
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and competitive team culture
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with parents via TeamSnap or similar platform  
  • Attend mandatory coaches’ meetings and complete required background check/safe sport training

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience at the youth level (lacrosse preferred; other field sports considered) Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals and 12U-specific rules
  •  USA Lacrosse Level 1 Certification (or willingness to complete before season starts club will reimburse)
  • Current USA Lacrosse membership  
  • Pass background check and complete SafeSport/Heads Up concussion training
  • Reliable transportation and ability to be on time to all practices and games Preferred (but not required)
  • Played lacrosse in high school or college
  • Level 2 or Level 3 USA Lacrosse certification  
  • Experience running drills and managing 16-22 players aged 9-12
  • Resident of Aledo or surrounding areas (Weatherford, Willow Park, Fort Worth)
