The One Love Foundation was started in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Love, who was a senior, and member of the women’s lacrosse team at UVA when she was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend, just weeks shy of her graduation. Today, nearly five years after Yeardley’s death, One Love is doing more work than ever to achieve its goal of raising awareness among young people to end relationship violence. In the third year of this tournament, the goal is to bring together boys and girls to raise awareness at the high school level by having a fun, non-traditional lacrosse tournament.
