Head Coach LBJ/LASA Ladies Lacrosse Position LBJ/LASA High School Girls Lacrosse Club 
Lady Jaguars (Austin, TX) Immediate opening for Head Coach
Applications are now being solicited for September 2016 , May 2017 contract. Closing Date: until filled.

Summary: The parent-led board of the LBJ/LASA High School Girls Lacrosse Club (Lady Jaguars) is seeking to fill this position immediately. The Lady Jaguars play in the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) Central Division II. The Varsity program plays a schedule of 15-18 games and the JV program plays 12-15 games. We are looking for a passionate, energetic individual who strives to build a highly competitive and challenging program for the LBJ/LASA student-athletes while supporting the school's mission statement. The club is committed to offering a rewarding experience for the students while maintaining high academic standards. The LBJ/LASA Lacrosse Club coach is an individual who seeks excellence on a daily basis while teaching life skills that will benefit the student-athletes within the program for many years to come. Essential Job Functions: 
  • Ensure a safe, fun and positive environment for all players.      
  • Plan and conduct practices in the fall and spring. 
  • Start and end practices on time. Make sure a coach is the last to leave the field. 
  • Communicate practice schedule in advance to all players and coaches. 
  • Communicate expectations to players and parents. 
  • Regularly communicate with parent-led board. 
  • Ensure player compliance with TGHSLL (Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League).
  • Attend TGHSLL meetings and events. 
  • Ensure player compliance with AISD requirements. 
  • Maintain appropriate discipline and set and uphold team rules and club  Bylaws. 
  • Verify academic performance standards, no-pass/no-play.
  • Develop a season schedule for varsity and JV. 
  • Regularly Communicate with the LBJ Athletic Director. 
  • Positively represent the school and program on and off the field. 
  • Serve as a role model for our girls and foster an environment of respect, tolerance, integrity and responsibility. 
  • Promote the development and enhancement of qualities of sportsmanship, leadership, loyalty and commitment.
  • Encourage participation and interest within the campus student body as well as the student body at feeder elementary and middle schools.
