Wolves Youth Lacrosse Head Coach Position

West Houston Lacrosse is seeking a youth head coach with the following qualifications, roles, and responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coach middle school team 6th-8th grades with a focus on fundamental skills
  • Lead 1-2 practices per week after school and/or on Saturdays at West Briar MS
  • Assist with recruiting events in middle schools (West Briar MS and Paul Revere MS)
  • Communicate with the team and parents.
  • Work with WHLA director and Westside HS head coach to align curriculum and objectives and to coordinate events. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • HS/College playing experience
  • Effective communication skills with boys 11-14
  • USA Lacrosse membership and background check / HISD VIPS

Season

Practice to begin 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19

West Houston Wolves will compete in the ISD Lacrosse series, including 3 play days with 3 games (tournament style) each play date, for a total of 9 games for the season. Play dates and locations are:

  • 3/26 (Sat) @ Pin Oak MS
  • 4/2 (Sat) @ Wolves (West Briar MS or Westside HS)
  • 4/9 (Sat) @ Frank Black MS
