Plano Lacrosse Association (www.planolacrosse.com), is seeking a committed and experienced High School Head Coach. Applicant coach is expected to be active with the program for both fall and spring season.   

We are looking for an energetic coach with extensive lacrosse knowledge who can operate as a mentor for high school student athletes, implement a coaching philosophy to the organization and who is committed to teaching the players a system of play designed by the Head High School Coach expected to be presented upon hire.

The Head Coach is responsible for supporting the program in all aspects of the development of the team including: scheduling and planning practice, implementation of game strategies and team management during practices, scrimmages and games.

 Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• College lacrosse experience as a player (NCAA Division I/II/III) preferred
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to develop and maintain positive and respectful relationships with student-athletes.
• Strong leadership and presentation skills to motivate high school student- athletes
• Excellent organizational skills
• Positive, but firm role model to all players, instilling self-discipline on and off the field
• Enforcement of player and player code of conduct
• Ability to collaborate effectively with assistant coaches and the Plano Lacrosse Association Board.
• Previous coaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Available for all practices and games
• Three references from employers or other lacrosse associated coaches or players.
• Offer and support recruiting opportunities for interested and eligible student athletes who are interested in pursuing lacrosse at the collegiate level.
• Available August – May

Salary: Commensurate with experience, competitive, but negotiable.
