Central District News

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of Central District Division I. Coach Chris Knight and the Cedar Park T-Wolves were voted into our group by our coaches yesterday at the end of our district meeting. The vote was unanimous among the coaches that were still in attendance and constituted a majority of the 9 teams that could have voted. The Cedar Park program has been on a successful development path for many years and has enjoyed growth and competitive success along the way. They will be an excellent addition to our group and we all look forward to an exciting year ahead. They will continue to compete in Division II as a Dual-Division program.
In addition, we welcome Coach John Maggio and the Lake Travis Cavalier program to Divisison II. Their request for accceptance were approved by a quarum in attendance at the DII breakout. Over the last year their program has taken great strides in providing an infrasturure that will foster program development both on and off the field. They will play a full schedule of district games in 2009.
In other actions, it was reported that Regents School of Austin would not field a team this year and will be inactive.
