Cumberland Academy Lacrosse Coach Opening

Cumberland Academy lacrosse encourages you to consider coaching with us. Cumberland Academy lacrosse seeks an energetic coach with a strong knowledge of lacrosse, skill development, and coaching techniques as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire young athletes. In particular, we are looking for a candidate that is positive minded and encouraging that can serve as a role model.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The lacrosse coach is responsible for supporting various aspects of the lacrosse program, such as program development, training, and coaching team members. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Cumberland Academy. Liaison to the school and lacrosse community. Organizations of district wide lacrosse activities including P.E. curriculum, Clinics, skills, camps, practices, and game day events

Purchasing and inventory, and PR/media coordinating. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Cumberland Academy
• A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept;
• 3 years of Coaching experience
• Effective leadership, coaching and recruiting skills;
• Good communication skills with players, parents, and the athletic department;

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Encourage, train, and coach the participants of the lacrosse program;
• Organize practice sessions;
• Represent Cumberland Academy and the lacrosse program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship.
