Prosper Lacrosse Assistant Coach Openings
Assistant Coach Positions:
Varsity & Junior Varsity – Season: Fall 2025 / Spring 2026 (with potential for renewal)
District: North Texas Prosper ISD / Class B (anticipated)
Are you ready to help build something special in one of Texas' fastest-growing communities? Prosper Lacrosse is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Coaches to support the Prosper High School Men’s Lacrosse Program for the 2025–2026 season.
The ideal candidates will work closely with the Head Coach to develop Varsity and Junior Varsity athletes, contribute to practice planning, and foster a positive, competitive, and growth-focused team culture. In addition, all assistant coaches will be expected to actively support Prosper Youth Lacrosse teams and events, helping strengthen our development pipeline from the youth level up. These roles are vital in building a premier lacrosse program backed by a strong youth base, committed families, and a thriving community.
Qualifications:
- Prior playing or coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level preferred
- Strong understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, strategies, and position-specific skills
- Ability to teach, motivate, and connect with high school-age athletes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with players, staff, and parents
- Organizational skills for practice prep, game-day duties, and team support
- Commitment to sportsmanship, player development, and the program’s values
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and running practices for Varsity and/or Junior Varsity teams
- Provide position-specific coaching, feedback, and skill development for players
- Support game-day operations, including warm-ups, sideline management, and substitutions
- Mentor players on teamwork, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field
- Participate in youth lacrosse coaching, clinics, and community events to support PYSA’s player development pathway
- Help coordinate with PYSA’s youth lacrosse program to promote player growth and engagement
- Uphold team standards, code of conduct, and league compliance requirements
- Contribute to a positive and competitive environment that prepares players for higher levels of play
Compensation: Competitive stipend based on experience
