COACHING POSITION
• JV Head or Assistant Coach /Varsity Assistant
• Develop Rocklax Team Philosophy including warm-up routines, drills, formations, plays, nomenclature. Design program for use throughout Youth teams to Varsity.
• Hold 2 coaching clinics per year for all assistants and dad coaches.
• Desire and skills to become the Varsity Coach of Rockwall Lacrosse.
• Teaches and coaches the fundamentals of lacrosse, good sportsmanship, leadership, fair play, the importance of academics, and relates to and inspires confidence in students. Emphasizes teamwork and respect for the game, teammates, officials, coaches, opponents and parents.
The candidate should have both higher level playing and coaching experience, great communication and organizational skills, and a desire to see each player at any level develop to their fullest potential.
The position should require 3-4 practices per week and 3-6 games per weekend during the season, as well as any Fall or Winter Tournaments, and any other administrative, communication, coordination activities necessary for successful seasons.
This position reports to the BOD and the role is for the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 seasons. The agreement may be continued, terminated or re-negotiated by either party at the end of Spring 2014.
Salary/Reimbursement: Negotiable based on experience and final job description/time commitments, plus mileage and expenses for any tournaments. Opportunity to host clinics, camps and private lessons.
