Camps and Clinics

Due to job relocation of our current coach, the West Houston Lacrosse Association is in immediate need of a coach for our West Briar Middle School team.   The team consists of 7th and 8th graders playing in their first year of lacrosse.  Requirements include lacrosse playing experience at the high school or preferably college level; coaching experience is preferable; strong leadership; motivational and organizational skills; a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the sport and players. 
The ideal candidate should be interested in building the program and molding individual talent while emphasizing teamwork, fundamentals, good sportsmanship, leadership, and respect.  Candidates are required to administer the program according to the principles and philosophy of the West Houston Lacrosse Association's charter, and in accordance with the rules of the Greater Houston Youth Lacrosse Association.
In addition, candidates must pass a background check and adhere to the coach's code of conduct.  Practices take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights with games/practices on Saturdays with the current season running through April.  This is a part-time position that includes a monthly stipend and requires attendance at all practices, games and when requested, Association board meetings.
