North Division I Playoff Structure
Each team is only required to play the other teams within the same division. A total of 8 teams will qualify for the District playoffs, the top 4 from each division. The league’s standard tiebreaker rules will apply to determine the top 4 teams in each division and only division games will count for divisional seeding.
The first round of the District Playoffs will consist of the following matchups hosted by the higher seed:
W1 will host E4, W2 will host E3, E1 will host W4 and E2 will host W3
These games will be played on April 29th and April 30th. May 1st is reserved as a weather make-up day.
The winners of these first round games will qualify for the Super Regionals to begin on May 4th. Seeding for the 4 advancing teams in the Super Regional brackets will be based upon head-to-head competition. If there is no head-to-head competition, an annual seeding determination will be used. The initial annual seeding determination will be determined by coin flip. For example, a coin flip will determine who gets the higher seed between E1 and W1 if both teams advance. The loser of the coin flip will get the seed tie breaker for the next year and it will continue to alternate in successive years. The same procedure will apply for a tie between E2 and W2 in the event of no head-to-head competition
