North THSLL Member School Programs,
The THSLL Board of Directors is taking nominations for this important position that represents the North THSLL Member School Programs as a member of the THSLL Board of Directors.

The responsibilities include one and half hours, participation in a summer executive board meeting, attendance at the annual state meeting, and a state championship in May. The coordinator role description is below:
Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) is the governing body and membership association for boys’ lacrosse teams at the high school level in Texas. The high school level is defined as grades nine through twelve. The THSLL board is comprised of volunteers throughout the state.
At no time may the number of THSLL board members who are paid and/or who are voting members of THSLL member programs make up more than 49% of the THSLL board.
If at all possible, a THSLL board member will not have a son currently playing lacrosse for a member school.
Whether a conflict exists for Board Members, Advisors, Contractors, or Employees (e.g. State Administrator), other than the Commissioner, shall be determined by the Commissioner. Whether a conflict exists for the Commissioner, shall be determined by a majority of the THSLL board excluding the Commissioner’s vote.
Summary:
THSLL Board is comprised of 9 individuals, including a Commissioner, Treasurer, Secretary and 6 district coordinators (3 DI and 4 DII) for the Central, North, South, and San Antonio Districts.
The District Coordinators for each district (DI and DII) should work together as a team for the common good of the district and to relay district issues/topics to the THSLL Board.
Coaches / Administrators are responsible/accountable to the District Coordinator with regards to THSLL issues.
Specific Roles / Responsibilities:
- Attend State THSLL Board Meeting each summer.
- Host a Coaches and Administrators meeting each September.
- Attend State THSLL Coaches/Administrators Meeting in September each year which rotates annually between districts.
- Attend regularly scheduled THSLL Board evening conference calls throughout the year twice a month.
- Establish District playoff structure (with assistance from coaches)
- Resolution of coaches / league / referee disputes
- Ensuring / Promoting Safety
- Ensuring / Promoting Sportsmanship
- Ensuring / Promoting THSLL, NCAA and US Lacrosse rules / issues / agenda
- Attend State Championship weekend
- Other as needed and directed by the State Commissioner and THSLL Board
