Austin High attended the Battle at Baltimore this past weekend competing against teams such as
Mcdonough, Calvert Hall, Baltimore Elite and Hampden
Roads. The tournament is for teams consisting of boys
entering their 9th, 10th and 11th grades in High
School.
Austin High advanced to the Championship game after defeating Calvert Hall 9-4. The Championship game featured Austin High v. Team USA which was an at large team. Team USA consisted of players from McDonough, Georgetown Prep, Colorado and Delaware. It was a tight contest throughout with neither team leading by more than a goal the entire time. The final score was AHS 7 and Team USA 6 with AHS holding off a last minute flurry of shots by USA.
Cameron Biehle - A - finished the game with 3 goals
Court Richardson - M - 2g
Brock Hensarling - A - 2 goals
Chris Bruno - D - finished the tournament with an amazing face off percentage of over 70%.
Freddie Gottesman - A - tallied 14g and 6 assists over the tournament.
