THSLL is pleased to announce the appointment of Rick Cook as the DII North Coordinator effective Dec.30.
The DII Coordinator is a volunteer, voting position on the THSLL Board.
Rick first became involved with lacrosse in the North Texas District in 2000 when his oldest son, Ben, began playing in the DI Plano Sr. High School progam as a ninth grader. Ben went on to play for Plano until his senior year.
Ricks younger son, Sam, began playing lacrosse that same year while in fifth grade and progressed through the Plano program, graduating in 2008.
Sam now plays DIII lacrosse for The College of Wooster in Ohio.
Rick was actively involved for the eight years his sons played for Plano in various roles supporting the Plano Lacrosse program and looks forward to remaining active in Texas High School Lacrosse in this coordinator position.
Rick is a Vice President and National Segment Leader for ACE USA, a commercial property,casualty insurance carrier. He and his wife, Carol, have been Plano residents since 1996
