Cedar Ridge High School located in Round Rock, Texas is the fifth and most recent high school addition to the Round Rock ISD. Entering the second year in 2011-2012, this state-of-art 375,000 sq. ft. school offers seven career and tech academies, a main and practice gymnasium, a main turf field and practices fields. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and growing program with highly motivated players and a very active booster club with enthusiastic and involved parents leading various committees.
Position description: With the huge growth of lacrosse and the youth feeder program in this area, the Cedar Ridge HS Lacrosse Booster Club has formed and will establish a DII program with Varsity and JV teams. The Lacrosse Club is currently searching for a DII varsity head coach and assistant coaches. Candidates must be able to pass a background check, meet time commitments, complete CPR class, and attend required meetings as outlined by the Club board. Proven integrity, leadership, and a thorough knowledge of high school lacrosse are required. Candidates should possess a strong commitment with the ability to effectively communicate, ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
The ideal candidate will have collegiate level lacrosse experience with a clear understanding of the game fundamentals, skills, and strategies. 2 or more years as a head coach at the DII level preferred. The candidate must have extreme enthusiasm for the game and interest in developing the program. Achieve both Level 1 and 2 USA Lacrosse Certifications.
