Central District News

Central DII Playoffs

2015 Central D2 Championship

The Championship will consist of four (4) teams playing on Saturday,  April 25 and Sunday, April 26. Teams will be seeded based on performance in District qualifying and the Championship will be conducted in accordance with THSLL rules.

In order to qualify for the Championship, teams must demonstrate end‐of‐season preparation for higher competition by winning a qualifying round. Regular season play provides preference to teams that demonstrate strength during the regular season. Qualifying rounds will be considered “non‐district” games for the purpose of THSLL scheduling. The highest ranking team in a given game incurs all costs and is the home team.

Since the District consists of ten (10) teams, each team must play all others in the district. Therefore, regular season standings determine (THSLL tiebreakers apply) the first and second place teams and they are automatically qualified for the Championship (as the 1 and 2 seeds respectively). Two (2) qualifying games will be played with winners advancing to the Championship:

  • 4th place plays 5th place (winner is the District 4 seed)
  • 3rd place plays 6th place (winner is the District 3 seed)
