Spartan Lacrosse Camp is pleased to announce that they will be joining forces with Capital Lacrosse Leagues/Camps here in Austin, Texas. Domenic Alfieri, creator of Capital Lacrosse, has been involved with Spartan Lacrosse Camps since inception. Last year Domenic was a Co-Director with Director and one of the primary creators of the camp Christopher Figueroa. Domenic and Christopher have been friends since elementary school and have played lacrosse on both high school and college levels together. "We both see this as a great opportunity to spread the game of lacrosse€ Figueroa says, "we've had the camp two years and in the two years we've had a great response from the kids and parents along with camp staff.€Â
Spartan Lacrosse Camp doubled in size last year and hopes to keep growing throughout the coming years. The camp has seen players from all levels ranging from 5th grade to graduating seniors looking for some extra work before heading off to college. It's an option for boys, and starting last year girls who look to increase their lacrosse knowledge on and off the field.
This year the camp will not be offering an overnight camp but plan on bringing back the popular overnight option next year. The plan is to move the camp to a new site and take complete control of the camp€Â. Directors feel that by taking this time off and restructuring the camp it will come back next year better then ever. "Our number one priority is to give kids a great camping experience and to increase their knowledge of the game along with making them a better overall player when they leave€ Alfieri says, "for parents we want an affordable camp where they know their children are in good hands.€Â
If you'd like to be put on the camp emailing list to know of upcoming events along with the announcement of next summer's overnight camp please email cfigueroa@openlending.com
